dear assholes
it can only be called a contest for young people if people under 18 can submit. isn’t 18 and up society’s definition of an adult? how can these people even have a youthful point of view if society is fucking rooting for them and not for every other human being who can be mature and can have human feelings just like the rest of you? what about people who have never experienced the benefits of being an adult before? just the fact that we are not allowed to submit to your contest means that your search for young photographers means nothing. hey, maybe it’s bad word choice, but even if they hadn’t used the word “young” in defining the magazine’s search, i’m still angry at the magazine for not allowing young people in to submit. do they think the results they recieve won’t be very good? will we dilute their perfect judging room of our watered down immature photographs and perspectives? yes, i realize 17 year olds are still in high school and aren’t “legal”- i realize that and it pisses me off, but can’t we get a fucking chance?
